Berlin Fashion Week captured the attention of fashion enthusiasts this past month. Many of the designers are European and the names are somewhat unfamiliar to us.
However, one name stands out in the crowd. ‘Guess Jeans’ has been a prevalent household name for many years and their collection this season was eye-stopping.

The Fall/Winter 2011 fashions are a return ‘Back to the Roots’ of the brand. The looks were a mix of sexy, chic, romantic and military all sauntering down the runway with a sense of style that only Guess can characterize.

A huge hit to accessorize many of the outfits were the faux fur jacket, hand warmers and wrap.

Tight fitting jeans looked fabulous with leopard print jackets or the layering effect of the plaid shirt worn over the sweet camisole. Another look was the wild red sweater worn over the jeans and finished with knee-high boots and a classic black fedora hat. We can’t forget the torn jean with the faux fur jacket.

Military was the inspiration for the khaki pant worn with a grey and silver tee and a lighter green suit jacket.
To add some femininity to the outfit, the model wore cheetah pattern platforms and the matching large purse with black leather long gloves.

Leather is a big hit for the fall/winter season and there were great looks that hit the catwalk in this collection. Skin tight leather pants and shorts were worn with low-slung belts. A black leather full short skirt with wide waistband and long sleeved jean shirt could easily transition for a day on the town or an evening of dancing.

Of course the vintage look appeared in the ivory peasant tunic with a low draped neckline worn over a beige ruffled short skirt. Elegant and fun all at one glance!

The classic ‘Guess’ jean dress was shown on the runway. For a sort of different look, a striped white and blue criss-cross sweater was thrown over the dress and the outfit was accessorized with gold opaque hose and white short leg warmers.

The men were also a part of the fashion experience. From baggy jeans with lots of layers to tight fitting jeans paired with suit jackets, every model made a statement. Dark colored scarves were tied loosely about the neck. Leather was just as popular for the man.

‘Guess Jeans’ put on another great show that exemplified their classic appeal to a widespread audience. Kudos for ‘Guess Jeans’ in Berlin!
