A Design Of A Different Kind Supports Dignity Fund

A Design Of A Different Kind Supports Dignity Fund

The progression of technology brings with it a special sense of style and finesse.  The power of the universe has inspired Celine Semaan Vernon in many imaginative ways and beyond our wildest dreams.  She is a staunch believer in peace, living with respect, compassion and empathy. If we all could live by her motto, the world would be a much better place. “Slow Down. Look At The Big Picture.”  Celine has done just that by creating and founding her very own company, Slow Factory, symbolic of her view on life. Known for unusual and unique scarves, Celine incorporates hi-res NASA photography into accessories that can be worn mystically and beautifully. Proceeds go to benefit the Dignity Fund, a humanitarian effort which comes to the aid of women and children who have become innocent victims of the turmoil and unrest that is taking place in the Middle East.  Slow Factory has manufacturing operations in the United States and Italy.

The appeal of these scarves lies in the actual design and how each and every image is created.  Imagery from the International Space Station, Hubble Telescope and Mars Orbiter all can be seen vividly as the scarves are displayed on and off the body.  Astronaut Alexander Gerst focused on Gaza from the International Space Station and described it very inventively. Gerst said, “We do not see any borders from space.  We just see a unique planet with a thin, fragile atmosphere, suspended in a vast and hostile darkness.  From up here it is crystal clear that on Earth we are one humanity, we eventually all share the same fate.”

The name of this newest collection is “Cities By Night.”  Magnificent silk interlaced with golden lights, a bright scene from above looking down upon New York, London and Paris with a much different interpretation  and a splash of vivid colors revealed on fabric to replicate the image of Mars and a scene from outer space draped round your neck, are all experiments in startling reality from afar.  The beauty of the movement that is created with your every step is certainly worth treasuring forever.

There are exceptionally strong emotions behind choosing the “Dignity Fund” as the organization to donate much needed financial support and the power to spread educational awareness in all parts of the globe. Celine herself was forced to flee Lebanon’s Civil War in the 1980’s.  As she explains it, “My family fled Lebanon during he war in he 1980s.  I understand the struggle that many women and children are enduring there on a daily basis.  With the DIGNITY Fund, we’re acknowledging their plight while helping them to meet the needs of daily life.”

Those wholesalers that purchase these amazing scarves from Slow Factory will be touched to know that their very own generosity is being used widely by the Dignity Fund as the organization works very closely with ANERA which is also a leading humanitarian organization.  Through these very means, Dignity kits are being distributed to women and children in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and West Bank , providing hygienic items, clothing and medicine. These stunning scarves can be purchased by wholesalers online at Slow Factory . The manufacturer will ship to wholesalers in almost any destination in the world.
