It appears that yet another star has fallen victim to celebrity status and all that comes with it. Early this morning in Los Angeles, Christina Aguilera was arrested with her boyfriend. Matthew Rutler was arrested for driving under the influence and Aguilera was booked for public intoxication. Boyfriend Rutler was held on $30,000 bail but released later on $5,000. Christina had to remain in custody and was fingerprinted and put in jail until she was able to pass a sobriety test. The LA County Sheriff’s Office will not prosecute in this case.
It is important to note that there are some signs that Christina may have some underlying issues based on her recent behavior. In early February at the Super Bowl, she forgot the words to the National Anthem and at the Grammy Awards a few weeks ago, she stumbled. Both her latest released album, ‘Bionic’ and her newest movie ‘Burlesque’, did not rise to the top of the charts as was hoped.
Perhaps there is another celebrity that may be bound for rehab soon.
