During Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week on the evening of September 14th in New York City in the Grand Corridor of the posh Trump Tower, we were entertained and bedazzled with ‘An Evening by Sherri Hill’.

Amongst a flurry of celebrities, a new Spring 2012 collection was unveiled with some of the most beautiful and intricate beading, sequins, feathers and metallics in gowns and dresses that looked fit for royalty. Debuting on the runway was the young and enchanting Kendall Jenner. Spotted at the show were Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, two esteemed television personalities. Miss Teen USA, Danielle Doty, was sitting in the front row. Sherri Hill has been good luck for Miss America pageant winners with her personally designed glamorous gowns. Cameras snapped in all directions as soon as Kim and Kourtney Kardashian entered the building flashing their magnetic smiles.

There were even rumors of Donald Trump and Rick Perry being close by in the building.

Strapless and silk made for the perfect combination. It was amazing how white and silver were given such character. As beautiful a neutral colors were, bright purples and pastel baby blues and deep greens and fiery reds brought the runway to life in dramatic beaded bodices with much in the way of ruffles and embellishment. It’s important to note that lengths varied from form-fitting short dresses to the long elegant gown.

The ballerina tulle skirt gave a sense of innocence and femininity. Another astonishing dress was the strapless mini which fit the model just like a glass mirror that shot magical rays of light across the runway. Kendall Jenner wore a number of exquisite outfits from a gold and purple sequined top and short covered with a satiny purple long gown with an extensive slit up the leg to a ballerina embellished tutu dress covered with feathers on the skirt.

The looks went from body-hugging to a full free-flowing gown.

The use of beading was almost magical and gave a mystical effect as the reflection of the beads glistened on the rich marble floors.

The little but long black dress was simply out of this world and somewhat sheer.

Sherri Hill, the designer, kept the audience under her spell with each and every fashion that appeared from behind the curtains.

It was definitely one of my favorite shows during Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week.
