BRING ON THE MUSIC WITH IRAWMA AWARDS

One of the biggest days for Reggae music is surely to be Martin’s International 32nd Annual International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA Awards) scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the prestigious Coral Springs Center for the Arts in Coral Springs, Florida.
To host one of the biggest nights of the year will be veteran Reggae superstar, Freddie McGregor, and the princess of Reggae, Etana. Both come to the awards with their own set of high honors. Freddie McGregor has just released a new album, “The Captain” that has been received very positively by all his loyal followers. Etana is also busy promoting her new album, “Better Tomorrow” and is nominated for Best Female Vocalist this year.
This is the 5th time that the tropical paradise of South Florida has warmly welcomed the IRAWMA Awards since its inception in 1982.
It will be an evening for the musical history books as more than 15 leading Reggae and World Music entertainers perform in front of the live audience and get them moving to the music and even more accept their treasured awards.
Some of the best artists in the business are up for the coveted awards this year. Top nominee is Mr. Vegas with six nominations, Damian Marley with five, Third World with four and Jimmy Cliff, Marcia Griffiths, Tarrus Riley and Busy Signal who all share three. Others nominated are Sean Paul, Konshens and Romain Virgo.
