Christy Turlington has made her mark on a multitude of industries but she will always be that iconic supermodel that has a natural and wholesome beauty with a refined finesse about her.

If you were to talk to Turlington, you would learn that her life has been more fulfilling in the last 15 or so years as she involves herself in causes that make a difference to so many people in the world today.  Public health campaigns, promoting education on maternal health, founding the advocacy group ‘Every Mother Counts’ and most significantly, her moving documentary called “No Woman, No Cry” finished in 2010 and premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival and on the Oprah network are all part of her daily life.

She is happily married to admired actor/director/writer Edward Burns and is the proud mother of two wonderful children, Grace and Finn.  Christy has now introduced the world to Grace, her 8-year-old daughter through a mother-daughter photoshoot for a new luxury lifestyle print and digital magazine called DuJour in their September issue.

The photos are very touching and the bond between mother and daughter is very evident.  The article that accompanies the pictures is candid and heartfelt and Christy describes Grace as “8 going on 14”.  Just like mom, Grace loves riding horses.  Turlington’s modeling career began when she was discovered riding a horse at the age of 13.  So much goes into motherhood but Turlington loves everything about being a full-time mom to sweet Grace and her adorable brother, Finn.

Grace is the epitome of childhood splendor with freckles and big bright eyes with a smile that will capture the heart of the world.  Family is the number one priority for Christy.  Perhaps she can attribute that to her parents and her upbringing.

We are seeing more and more of Christy Turlington these days as she is back on the ad campaign as spokesmodel for Maybelline and their products.  She keeps very busy as she is also currently attending Columbia University and on her way to obtaining a master’s degree in public health.  She doesn’t have time to think about aging which is a fear of most women today.  According to Christy, life is more about who you become as a person and she has so much to be proud of and thankful for.

Next up on the agenda is a family safari in Africa, a memorable experience that Grace will remember as she grows older.

We are sure we will be seeing more of this little sweetheart in the modeling world as she walks in the footsteps of her down-to-earth mom with that magnetic personality to match.
