Now that it appears that the Presidential Race has narrowed down to two competitors vying to win the American vote, the stage is set for the Republican National Convention to be held in Tampa, Florida from August 27-30th and the Democratic National Convention to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina from September 3rd-7th.

Both cities are soliciting thousands of volunteers to gear up to bring each of the powerful platforms of the candidates to the forefront in order to gain that decisive vote.  Both cities have so much to offer to tourists, workers and delegates alike making their way on the road to the ultimate destination, the White House.

The Democratic National Convention has updated their format and venue to let the “voice of the people” become more engaged during the event.  The week begins with a family-friendly Labor Day event being held at the famous Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday, September 3rd.  This has been anticipated to draw citizens from all over the country.  In a monumental effort, when the President accepts the official nomination at the Bank of America Stadium, the public will be invited to attend.  This convention is all about empowering the people.

Meanwhile, the Republican National Convention is making some needed changes of their own.  With a new website, www.GOPConvention2012.com, there will be expanded interactive and multimedia capabilities which include video and live-streaming broadcasts of convention proceedings as well as live chats.  It will totally integrate the major social networks of Facebook, Twitter and Google +.  Google and YouTube will be the official social platform and live-stream provider.  Microsoft Corporation will serve as the official innovation provider.  This will be the most contemporary way to help the American public to stay connected, collaborate and communicate and go one step further to create, access and share data, information and digital content through so many different methods.  The New Republican Convention Blog is called ‘Conventional Wisdom’ and was chosen through online voting based on suggestions solicited on Facebook.

Both conventions will host delegates from 56 states in a most organized and efficient manner with loads of preparation underway at this very moment.

More importantly, as both conventions go into full swing, this will generate more revenue for the chosen cities and boost the economy at a crucial time and at the crossroads to a new era.
