DL1961 – DENIM SHOW OF THE SPRING SEASON 2013

High-profile assistance came from Nylon’s Style Editor-At-Large, Dani Stahl and E!’s “Scouted” cast the special show. This event was the talk of the town as DJ Mia Moretti, Electric Violinist Caitlin Moe, British Singer/Songwriter Neon Hitch, Model Jessica Hart, actresses Kristin Chenoweth and Jana Kramer, actor Chaske Spencer and reality tv personalities Simon Van Kempen and Alex McCord were all in attendance and totally enjoying the celebration of denim.
There is no better brand to give you that “perfect-fitting jean” than DL1961 Premium Denim. This collection was a tribute to the great city of its origin, New York City. Models were seen in a myriad of denims from washed to distressed, dark blue to light blue and in between. Both men and women could choose from so many trend-setting styles. Prints and patterns were a big hit paired with the v-neck tee or the silky blouse. The tailored shirt is also a trend that lives on year after year. Leather is always a scene stealer no matter what season it happens to be. Adding a touch of feminine flair is the hand embroidery that adorned some of the styles. If you aren’t into the full leather pant, leather accents were another alternative for a softer side.
The Spring/Summer 2013 show revealed so many hot new looks on the denim front with couture embroidery, cool metallic tones and muted pastels to subdue the situation. Flashback to an era of acid washed jeans which seem to hold their grasp on popularity. Denim jackets and vests helped to accessorize the looks.
This marked the very first show for DL1961 Premium Denim brand and we know it won’t be the last. The event was held on the waterfront at Pier 57 in New York City where guests could socialize and enjoy the atmosphere and the scenery followed by an exciting fashion-forward show. DL1961 is dedicated to denim, denim, denim in a large and powerful way.
