DONNA KARAN DIVES INTO 30 YEARS OF DESIGN

When it comes to timeless style and stand-out sophistication, the name Donna Karan pops into our minds. Her collections can be classic as well as contemporary all at once. Her sincerity and love of fashion come to the surface with every collection that she designs. She is a home-grown designer and New York City is where her heart and soul will always belong. We see her clothing on huge billboards in Times Square, on the pages of fashion publications, in exclusive department stores and filling the runways season after season.

But nothing can compare to the latest venture which is a collaboration between Donna Karan and Steven Sebring. This is an amazing film that captures the astounding creativity of both talented masters of their trade. The duo walked this journey together with Karan being inspired by Sebring’s work and he bringing her vision to life in what appears to be 3D images.
Donna Karan is celebrating her 30th anniversary of designing and this latest collection had to be even more special as a tribute to so many glorious years. She captured the woman’s soul and spirit from the inside out and decided to not only bring it to the runway but do something even more unique by putting it on film in a way that noone else can. The union of Karan and Sebring was almost inevitable as if it was fate taking its course. The team has worked together professionally for some time now and had also formed a friendship that carried them to this point. Both enjoyed the partnership and are especially happy at the output.
As Donna so appropriately put it, “I’ve been journeying with Steven forever, personally and professionally. I’ve witnessed his evolution as an artist, and admire and respect his vision and creativity. When I saw his show Revolution at the Armory, I was inspired. Here was a work of art that brought everything I was feeling to life. The body. Its movement. Its expression. Its metamorphism, from one thing into another. Steven called it a visual symphony in four parts. It’s an exploration into another dimension. The body like you’ve never experienced it before. His work takes you far beyond the limits of imagination.”
Watching this film, you become mesmerized by the fierce passion and dedication that it exudes. It is creativity on the cusp of genius. We look forward to more projects by these artists.
