FALGUNI & SHANE PEACOCK DAZZLE WITH FALL 2013 COLLECTION

Wild dreams and magical moments were once again made with Falguni & Shane Peacock at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.
Falguni & Shane Peacock tend to take us away from the ordinary and into the world of imagination, innovation, creativity and make believe. For their Fall 2013 Collection, the theme was “Wild Child” with pieces to fit that theme perfectly.
Many celebrities are big fans of this powerhouse designer couple. Former ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star Alex McCord was seen wearing a Falguni & Shane Peacock original sitting right in the front row.
There was a dazzling array of feathers, detailed sequined beading, 3D prints, glitter, exaggerated shoulders and a runway performance that always seems to leave us in awe of the original fashions.
Showing at the tail end of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, this magnetic collection tends to stick in your memory until next season when these delightful designers will most definitely outdo themselves once again.
Dark colors were plentiful with a touch of red and a swirl of navy blue. Peplum is the important style as we slide into fall and Falguni & Shane Peacock incorporated the top trend into many of their pieces. Metal breastplates were shown layering gowns and dresses alike. Was there a message of power and prominence in these shiny accessories? Chokers that resembled collars brought out the ‘wild’ in the theme of the collection.
Although dresses of the softest fabric with sheer necklines were desirable for the day, the gowns stole the show. Strapless full-length sequined gowns, some hugging the body ever so tightly were elegant and chic. A belted black lace silhouette graduated into a long sheer suggestive gown with a lace beaded bottom and sheer neckline. Even the nail polish and eye makeup matched the gown.
The design team also experimented with combinations of fabrics and patterns to give us the answer to the ho-hum ordinary. This is not your typical collection. It is for the spirited woman with a mind of her own and the freedom to express her attitude through her wardrobe. The celebrity clientele is impressive and continues to come back for more giving this design team star power in every sense of the word. Falguni & Shane Peacock seem to enjoy ‘over the top’ which goes hand in hand with their philosophy that “Life is too short to blend in.”
We applaud the creativity and show-stopping appeal of Falguni & Shane Peacock.
