It is time for us to all come together and unite on a day that holds extreme significance for the entire world. That day is World Food Day and in 2016 it is on October 16, 2016.

One of the most devoted advocates to ending world hunger for good is the distinguished designer and an all-time favorite, . This marks the fourth year that Kors has been so committed to this campaign to stop world hunger. He has been joined in the fight by celebrities such as Halle Berry and Kate Hudson over the years.

On Sunday, October 16, 2016, Michael Kors is continuing the fight in all his stores across the nation. Kors clothing and accessories are key to a luxurious look. On World Food Day, it is time to see what his collections are all about. When visiting a participating Kors Store, use the special Watch Hunger Stop snapchat geofilter or pick up a free Watch Hunger Stop t-shirt to share on your own special media platforms and spread the word, build a keener sense of awareness. The Michael Kors brand is 100% committed to donating 25 meals to the United Nations World Food Programme for every snap or selfie shared. There is also a Watch Hunger Stop Michael Kors timepiece collection for men and women that is both stylish and philanthropic in nature. It is the chicest way to accessorize any occasion and get you there on time and in style.

Over the years, we have seen the increased impact of all the caring contributions to the United Nations World Food Programme. More than 20 million children, within the education system of developing countries, have been given food every year since it was started.

Additionally, Michael Kors has designed a special-edition activity tracker for the Watch Hunger Stop initiative. For each activity tracker sold, 100 meals will be donated to the World Food Programme specifically for hungry children.

In recognition of his dedicated efforts to help end hunger, Michael Kors has been named a Global Ambassador Against Hunger for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

It was truly a thrill to be given this responsibility. “It’s an honor to be named a Global Ambassador Against Hunger, and a further inspiration to me to continue the important work of ending world hunger hand in hand with WFP, said Kors. “WFP has a global presence, with people on the ground in countries that are most affected by hunger and malnutrition, and they’re doing an amazing job helping families and communities build a better future for themselves.”  With his own brand campaign, Kors has helped to raise funds to provide more than 10 million meals to children that are targeted in this programme. Good nutrition means a much brighter future.

On a local level, Kors has continued to fight hunger at home in New York City and has been doing so since the 1980’s. He works with God’s Love We Deliver, a non-profit organization which cooks and home-delivers nutritious meals to those in the metropolitan New York City area living with severe illness.

Michael needs your help. He can’t do it all alone as it takes collaboration and love and Sunday, October 16, 2016, is the day when you too can really make a difference. “We’re making real progress toward our goal of zero hunger. You can see a visible reaction, a positive reaction, when you hand someone a plate of food. Whether you get involved on a local level, a national level or a global level, you can really make a difference in people’s lives. We have enough food

in the world for everyone. The challenge is to get people to realize this and to work to change it,” says Michael Kors.

“We are grateful to Michael for his strong commitment to the goal of zero hunger and all the children, women and men who will have a chance at a brighter future because of his support, “ says Ertharin Cousin, Executive Director of WFP. “WFP looks forward to working even more closely with Michael and his company to make a hunger free world a reality.”
