LET’S MAKE IT A HAUNTINGLY OUTRAGEOUS HALLOWEEN

Halloween is one of the most imaginative holidays of the year. Costume parties are the best way to get lost in the escapades and enjoy the freedom to display your own unique individuality without question.
A notable party making light of the night and inviting all ghosts and goblins is the Masquerade Ball – Tricking Cancer and Treating Children. This is a Board of Associates Benefit for the Ronald McDonald House New York. A hauntingly good time can be had by all as it takes place on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Apella Event Space at Alexandria Center for Life Sciences located at 450 East 29th Street in New York City between 1st Avenue and the FDR. The Ronald McDonald House New York continues to bring joy to children by providing a temporary “home-away-from-home” for pediatric cancer patients and their families. It is the largest facility of its kind offering a supportive, caring and warmhearted environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems. Be part of the fun as you dress up in your favorite action hero costume or be a princess of the dark or whatever catches your fancy. It isn’t too late to make your reservations and help a worthwhile organization.
Over in Southhampton Village, the Annual Rag-A-Muffin Parade & Pumpkin Trail begins at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 27, 2013. Put on your most ghoulish costume and be a part of the prestigious parade as the route takes you from Agawam Park and proceeds onward through Village Streets (Windmill Lane, Nugent Street, Main Street and Jobs Lane). Once the parade comes to a close, the trick-or-treating begins as kids in costume are treated to the goodies of the holiday from local merchants. See the paper pumpkin in the store window and come on in for some scrumptious treats. Check out www.southhamptonchamber.com for all the details.
You aren’t the only ones partaking in the spooky festivities. Celeb moms also enjoy warding off the witches and ghosts with their little ones by their side. Our ‘90210’ mom, Tori Spelling, makes all her own costumes for her four kids (Liam-6, Stella-5, Hattie-2 and Finn-1). It has become one of her annual traditions. “Sons Of Anarchy” actor, Kenny Johnson, really gets into the hallow Halloween spirit with his daughter. He will be the Beast and she will be Belle this year. “Project Runway” Angel, Heidi Klum, has been known year after year for her original and quite lavish Halloween costumes. Having four children ranging in age from 4 to 9 years old, this recognized day becomes more than just a regular holiday. The house is filled with spider webs, skeletons and pumpkins for the children to enjoy.
Spooky parties are prevalent under the dark and dimly lit moonlit sky. Don’t miss your bewitching hour on that scary evening. Frolic and have some fun!
