MAGIC OVER THE MEDITERRANEAN WITH DIOR

Monaco is known as the land of luxury overlooking the expansive Mediterranean Sea and located on the chic French Riviera. So it was only befitting that this exclusive country provided the backdrop for the Dior 2014 Cruise Collection as models walked the runway in glamour at the Promenade Casiraghi in Monte Carlo.
Celebrities donned stunning strapless dresses of varying lengths in mostly black and white. Jessica Biel, Marion Cotillard, Liv Tyler, Princess Charlene of Monaco all were guests of Dior. Prince Albert II regards Dior as a special designer since one of Dior’s muses was the royal Grace Kelly, Prince Albert’s lovely mother.
This was the first Cruise RAF Simons Collection for Christian Dior Cruise. It was an extravagant collection of splendor and he did quite well. As all fans of Dior know, it was always his dream to outfit princesses, especially Princess Grace. Dainty lace and embellished crop tops, lots of embroidery, prints, brightly colored jackets and sheer dresses with suggestive undertones all characterize the styles that women will absolutely love.
Simons was striving for an aerodynamic collection and his goal was achieved with grandeur. Bold red lips had a sexy appeal and brightened the runway. Simons was excited to work with lace which had a prominence during the show in both black and white. He wanted to transform the meaning of the material to a more modern and energetic feel as a means to dress up an outfit.
One piece bathing suits with draped backs brought the Hollywood glamour as we used to know it back to life and deep blue like a vision of the sea was quite an attention-grabbing color. A vivacious red dress made a gradual draping to the floor from the front to the back. The smart Dior suit was highlighted. It commands the boardroom every time and should be a staple item for the career-minded woman.
Color blocking was given a unique magic on flowing dresses. Interesting in itself was the somewhat 3D dress with white lace on one side and colored fabric of black, blue, white and orange on the other. Silver glistened and reminded us that summer is one of the most special seasons of the year and warmth abounds. Comfort is a key to this successful collection in addition to its modern femininity.
Overall, the collection was widely accepted and ruled the runway in a manner of royalty. It is the type of collection that every woman desires to spend her summer in. Directly following the Dior debut, Prince Albert II and his wife invited some of the guests to a reception they were holding at the Oceanographic Museum where more of classic Dior fashions were showcased.
It was an evening of enchanting elegance in Monte Carlo, a beautiful destination.
