MISHA NONOO INTRODUCES PRE-FALL 2014

It is the time of year when designers are introducing Pre-Fall 2014 Collections. Misha Nonoo has consistently presented amazing creations giving her customers so many exquisite choices season after season. Misha has been exposed to a wealth of culture being born in Bahrain and raised in London by an Iraqi father and an English mother. This gives her a creative edge.
Design is Misha’s passion. She moved to New York City to follow her dream and so she could continue to make a name for herself. From her drive and determination, the Misha Nonoo brand was born. Now she currently lives in the city producing her clothing line in the garment centre of Manhattan.
I had the lucky opportunity to interview Misha Nonoo when she debuted her very first collection at New York Fashion Week Fall 2011. It all took place at the exclusive Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District. It was a very fancy free and spirited collection with tailored separates and such lovely feminine silhouettes. In just a matter of a couple of years, success has come knocking on Misha’s door making that first collection seem like ages ago.
In 2012, Nonoo received the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award for Women’s Ready To Wear. Her pieces can be found in fine retailers that draw a very sophisticated shopper; Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Harvey Nicols. Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Amanda Seyfried and Pippa Middleton are all familiar names that have fallen in love with her clothing and the way each piece makes them feel when they are seen out and about.
This latest Pre-Fall 2014 Collection was influenced by architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his design of the iconic Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Nonoo was particularly attracted to the geometric helix structure topped by a monumental skylight. It was inspirational with its play on transparency and opacity. This collection’s natural color palette and minimal lines only add to a sense of curiosity and wanderlust, values that define Misha and her effortless feminine aesthetic and composed timeless appeal.
Her patterns are translated into pants, dresses and skirts for every mood that a woman goes through over the course of the season. The simplicity creates an unmistakable elegance. Sheer panels at the necklines and hemlines are an ingenious way to distinguish the detailed craftsmanship of the Nonoo label. It is definitely a very streamlined yet clean and magnificent collection. As usual, the dedication to design is extremely evident in the Nonoo Pre-Fall 2014 Collection. This year has also been a very rewarding year for Misha Nonoo as she was selected as a finalist for the esteemed 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. Misha Nonoo seems to excel at each and every collection.
