NICK AND MARIAH LIVE THE FAIRYTALE

While the tension continues to mount between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on American Idol, Mariah put all that aside recently on April 30, 2013, so she could renew her vows with Nick Cannon in the true spirit of love and a tradition that they continue to carry out each year on their anniversary.
If you can imagine a fairytale, this whole evening was certainly right out of a storybook. The couple created their dream as Disneyland became their own private paradise. This elaborate ceremony marked their fifth year of wedding bliss.
This anniversary was well planned as both turned into Prince and Princess. Mariah wore a gown straight out of a Cinderella Ball with a glistening diamond necklace, long flowing curls and a silver crown atop her head. Nick could have been Prince Charming in his handsome attire. Mariah was smitten by her lover. Even little Monroe, the couple’s daughter and Moroccan, their son, took part in the ceremony. The adorable little ones looked like they stepped right off of the top of a music box.
Once mother and daughter were all dressed and ready to go, a Cinderella-style horse-drawn carriage took them down to Main Street where Mariah’s prince awaited her.
It all took place in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle with 250 guests witnessing the ceremony. While a normal ceremony concludes with a shower of rice, nothing could top the fireworks display that signified the successful renewal of the couple’s vows. It was a sight to behold.
Next it was off to Fantasyland where a reception of 15,000 flowers and 10,000 crystals greeted the couple, the children and excited guests. In keeping with the unique theme, rather than sitting and socializing, friends and family of the happy couple rode the Matterhorn Bobsleds, the King Arthur Carousel, Peter Pan’s Flight and Snow White’s Scary Adventures. Nick Cannon doubled as the DJ.
What better way to end the magical evening then to retire to the Dream Suite. For all those hopeless romantics, Nick and Mariah believe that they have met their soulmate and the love that they feel for each other is intensely moving as you watch them interact with each other.
It seems that the longer the couple is married, the more lavish each anniversary becomes and the destinations are incomparable as well. Last year it was in Paris in the Eiffel Tower, the epitome’ of romance. I guess we will have to wait until next year and see how they top this fairytale adventure of love.
