Patricia Field Packs A Fashionable Punch At NYFW

We all idolized Carrie Bradshaw’s closet on the ever famous series, Sex & The City. The stylist responsible for all those amazing looks is Patricia Field, and, after all these years, she is still going strong in her career. Although that particular ship has sailed into the horizon, Field continues to sail the seas of life and take on new and exciting endeavors.
During the most recent New York Fashion Week, Patricia Field hosted a discussion for fans and media outlets where she had plenty to talk about. Her fashion career has taken on a life of its own as she devotes her time to working on an art-focused fashion collection. It is a fabulously fun and colorfully crazy collection of clothing and accessories. This is over the edge dressing at its finest. The entire collection is based on offering her clients unique clothing to complete their wardrobes. What makes each and every item so individualistic is the artwork painted by her eight artists on each of the pieces.
Patricia Field is one of the most iconic costume designers and fashion stylists of all time. She stands out in the industry because she doesn’t just design and produce for the masses. Field takes her customer’s needs and desires and translates those into wearable art to brighten any closet of clothes.
Fans were eager to visit Field’s ‘Getty Images Pop-Up Studio at Breather’ during New York Fashion Week in September. Patricia is one of those down to earth designers that loves sharing her inspiration and ideas and giving her fans insight into a career that she is extremely passionate about. She certainly packed a crowd of fans and clothing fanatics.
With Patricia Field costumes specifically meant for the girls of Sex & The City, they go down in TV History as a reminder to us of her vast talents. However, now, Field is focusing on being a self-created wardrobe consultant for a new Darren Star comedy-drama series on TV Land, Younger. (www.tvland.com/shows/younger) The show is about an ambitious 40 year old who lands the job of her dreams by passing herself off as 26. Stars include Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, Hilary Duff and Nico Tortorella. Field has the challenging role of dressing these stars in memorable clothing to set the stage and add some flavor to the series which is now in its second big year.
Age is not a drawback for someone as vivacious and full of vigor as Patricia Field. She loves what she does and it will always keep her young and energetic. She will go down in history and be considered the defining factor in New York City’s gleaming and famous nightlife.
