In the market for a new car? You are in luck because the New York International Auto Show races into town from April 22nd – May 1st at the Jacob Javits Center at 11th Avenue between 34th and 40th Street. You will witness the unveiling of concept cars and get to view some of the hottest cars and trucks coming on the market within the next year or two. Hours are Monday – Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Not only will you have the opportunity to check out the cars of the future, but also the cars of the past with the LeMay Museum Exhibit of Classic Cars.

There will be fun things to do like the indoor ride-a-long, have your picture taken with the characters from the movie Disney Cars2, meet Zach Follett of the Detroit Lions and you might even be able to meet and take a photograph with Jerry Springer.

Some of the show sponsors include the New York Post, CBS Radio, State Farm Insurance and AutoTrader.com.

This International Auto Show first took place in 1900 and was North America’s first automotive exhibit. Each year the show only becomes bigger and better than the previous year. Meet the team of Rescue Inc., The Army for the Animals and their Hot Rod Animal Saving Ambulance. The excitement will build with the sleek performance enhanced camaros in bright showy colors.

Get a glimpse into the future with the Concept cars of the Cadillac Urban Luxury Car, the Hyundai Curb, Mini Paceman, Nissan Ellure and Saab Phoenix. American auto makers will display many of their new Chevy and Ford cars.

You’ll be able to take a sneek peek at the luxurious 2011 Audi R8 Cabrio, BMW 5 Series, 2011 Cadillac CTS, the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible and Chevy Cruze, the new Hyundai Equus and Sonata, Lexus LFA, Mercedes Benz SLS Amg and the Saab 9-5.

There will be many alternative fuel cars to choose from including the 2011 BMW X6 Active Hybird, Ford Escape Hybrid, Honda Insight, Lexus CT200H and even the Toyota Camry Hybrid.
