New York Fashion Week takes us throughout the entire month of February as designers give us their very best looks of Fall/Winter 2013.

A few of the most talked about designers to make their debut in the fashion capital of the world are Scandinavian designers SIPILÄ, Viona Blu, and Olav.

This Scandinavian showcase is their first ever entrance into the U.S. Market and it all began at an exclusive showcase event on February 12, 2013 which took place at the celebrity hideaway known as No. 8 in New York City where attendees Amanda Leigh Dunn, Becka Diamond and Neon Hitch came out to see what makes these designers so special.  The successful event gave us a view of the fashions that set these designers apart from the rest.  Served at the event were specialty cocktails provided by Vikingfjord Vodka and sponsors were TRESemme’ and Face Stockholm.

From February 11th to this coming Tuesday, February 26, 2013, a pop up showroom has been bedazzling buyers and press alike with their interesting interpretation of fashion for the woman daring to be different.

SIPILÄ  from designer Linda Sipilä, is magically feminine with much attention given to intricate detail.  She displays easy-to-wear versatile dresses, tunics and separates made from the finest materials, synonymous with the world of luxury.

Viona Blu, designed by Sirpa Kalliola, is a sophisticated line of fish leather handbags and accessories.  This ecological collection is sustainable while at the same time maintaining its glamorous appeal.

Olav is a unisex collection of tunics, tops, pants, outerwear and accessories.  Jussi Salminen is the designer behind the line and loves to spark attention with edgy details such as burnout material, ombre’, metallic accents and bold printing.  If you are looking for adventure and a dynamic lifestyle, this is the brand for you.

Each of the brands has their own unique personality with aesthetic appeal, one that you can call your own and differentiate with your own personal style.

Isn’t it time that you had a change of trends?
