To kick off the arrival of the anticipated lavish event and to support global emerging designers, Miami Beach International Fashion Week is hosting its Annual Humanitarian Awards and official kick-off party. This marks the third year that Miami Fashion Week Foundation is celebrating and recognizing new and promising talent while raising funds for education programs and scholarship funds.
On March 8th, from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., join the celebration as the spotlights illuminate the romantic pool deck, palms blow in the breeze and the Shelborne Hotel (1801 Collins Avenue)provides the most decorative of settings for an evening of entertainment and philanthropy.
The event is additionally co-hosted by Tiffany & Co. and Vanidades. Attendees can take part in a silent auction which benefits the 2012 student competitions. Finalists hail from faraway lands of Thailand, India, Cuba and Poland and as close as Dallas and Miami. One of the youngest finalists in the competition this year is Christopher Abella who is only 12 years old.
