We are all deeply grieving the death of Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple. Tonight, President Obama has released a statement to the world.
The President and First Lady were saddened to hear the news and labeled Jobs as a great American innovator. “He thought differently, was bold enough to believe that he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.”
In building his company, Apple, Jobs was the true example of the spirit of American ingenuity. With his products, he put the world of information technology at our fingertips and made it fun and exciting at the same time. He made a huge impact on our lives because he truly lived every day like it was his last.
Obama believes that Steve Jobs changed the way each of us sees the world today.
There can be no greater tribute to the man than the fact that much of the world learned of his death on the same device that he invented. Steve Jobs, the visionary, transformed our lives.
Both the President and First Lady, Michelle, send out their thoughts and prayers to Job’s wife, family and all those that loved him.
