Style And Sea Turtles Reign at The Gardens Mall In August

Get out of the heat and surround yourself with luxury and decadence as the most prestigious Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, invites its visitors in for some cause-worthy events during the month of August. It is one of the most convenient destinations in all of South Florida, located right off I-95 PGA Boulevard exit.
As many Florida residents can attest to, South Florida waters are home to one of the most fascinating creatures, the sea turtle. To celebrate this creature’s prowess, there is something for everyone, both young and old, awaiting them at The Gardens Mall http://www.thegardensmall.com./
This marks the fifth consecutive year that sea turtle enthusiasts can come and enjoy a free family event at The Gardens Mall. The fun takes place on Saturday, August 20, 2016, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and stretching to 4:00 p.m. in the Grand Court. The spotlight will shine on the world-renowned sea turtle as well as the ocean conservation programs that are being championed and carried out at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center www.marinelife.org which is located at 14200 U.S. Highway #1, Juno Beach. The all-day exhibition will feature fun, interactive, educational programs, conversations with Loggerhead Marinelife Center scientists, a special appearance by LMC’s mascot, Fletch, family-friendly games and activities, and chances to win exciting prizes. Turtle-loving tots and their families and friends will be able to design their own ocean reef, listen to sea turtle stories, craft seashell necklaces, and adopt a sea turtle. The event is open to the public at no charge. You just couldn’t ask for more in the way of entertainment and education.
Loggerhead Marinelife Center is also giving children the opportunity to be a “Vet for a Day.” Parents can nominate their child on LMC’s Facebook page beginning August 6. The contest is open to children ages 5 to 10. They will meet with an LMC rehabilitation staff member and learn how sea turtle patients are treated. A special bonus for the little vets will be to take home their very own plush sea turtle patient!
Additionally, The Gardens Mall and various retailers will host Shop and Share events on August 20, and will donate 5% of the day’s total, logged shopping receipts back to LMC. Guests can turn in their receipts at the Information Desk to help support LMC’s important mission. This is where ‘cause-worthy’ comes into play.
Following this event, The Gardens Mall Grand Court is magically transformed into an extravagant world of couture, compassion and personal style at the third annual #LMCFashBash. This event will take place on Thursday, August 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..Powered by fashion, champagne and haute hashtags, #LMCFashBash will have the fashionably elegant crowd of Palm Beach County taking to the runway to pay homage to South Florida’s most beloved creatures – the turtle.
Loggerhead Marinelife Center takes pride in collaborating with The Gardens Mall for a 2-hour fashion circus of beauty, featuring local celebrities modeling some of the season’s most iconic designs from popular retailers Lilly Pulitzer, JOHNNY WAS, J. McLaughlin, Bloomingdale’s, Robert Graham, Vineyard Vines, Eileen Fisher, just to name a few.
The decadent evening will also feature gastronomic masterpieces, creative cocktails, and an outrageous luxury raffle. Guests are encouraged to post photos on Instagram for a chance to win exciting prizes, including retailer gifts and some of the best bubbly, Veuve Clicquot champagne, from The Gardens Mall. The evening will conclude with a glamorous VIP after-party, taking place from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m..
Tickets are $50 for general admission and $100 for VIP admission, which includes premium open bar, dinner-by-the-bite, a luxury swag bag, and VIP after-party access. Tickets can be purchased at marinelife.org.
