The sun, sand and surf not only brings a chance to relax and enjoy Southern hospitality but also an opportunity to see the latest swimwear fashions brought to you by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.

In July, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim will return to the art deco backdrop of picturesque Miami Beach. The event will showcase international designers from Australia, Brazil, Columbia and the United States. It has come to be known as the premier swimwear event in the world and draws in crowds from across the globe.

One of the successful spotlight swimwear designers is Trina Turk. A native of California, Trina has been in the fashion world since she was a young child. She launched her own business in 1995 and wholesale sales topped $40 million in 2009. Her flagship store is located in Los Angeles and on its heels, Turk opened another store in New York in the trendy meatpacking district. More stores soon opened up in California and as is fitting in Miami, Florida.

Her 2011 Swimwear Line shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim last year was very popular with the beachside crowd.

Her swimwear fashions catch the eye with vivid splashes of color. A wild pink bikini top can be mixed and matched with a casual sarong-type short skirt in an easel of pinks, oranges, whites, blues and yellows. Put on the floppy wide-brimmed straw hat and you’re ready for the beach. Go one step further and the sarong is also shown as a dress in the same pattern.

Gold embellishes the look with elastic waist pants and a very bright and colorful strapless bikini top finished with gold sandals.

Sequins can just as easily be worn to the pool as they can to the party. An adorable reddish cover shirt has a sequin design in the shape of the sun’s rays.

Aquas, limes, whites and beiges are just some of the shades of bathing suits that can be accessorized with beads and baubles.

An ocean blue maxi cover-up is intricately designed with what looks like teardrops to give the outfit a rich appeal.

Catch the eye of the crowds in a deep magenta cover-up opened just enough to reveal a sexy swimsuit.

For somewhat of a different look, try the pink, white and orange cover-up that progresses in length from short in the front to long and flowing in the back.

Striking one piece patterned suits with similar silky head scarves are simply stunning worn with a gold and white draped necklace to frame the neckline. If you are partial to bikinis and like the pattern, you are in luck as it was seen on the runway in a one and two piece suit.

With a wide array of special swimwear looks, Trina Turk grabs the attention of all types of customers both young and old alike. She is sure to bring us a spectacular collection this coming July in Miami Beach and we can’t wait.
