This coming Friday, May 4th, the pages of Marvel Comic Book come alive as ‘The Avengers’ is brought to the big screen.  An all-star cast will surely make this a box office sensation with Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Who better to save the world from destruction than a team of heroes; Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, The Black Widow and Hawkeye.

There is a menacing enemy threatening global safety and world security.  They will certainly claim victory unless Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D, finds a way to bring the Super Heroes together peacefully to try and save the world.

The 3-D effect packs a powerful punch on the film and will have you gasping as if you are right in the scene when Manhattan becomes the center of mass destruction.  You will also be pulled into the magic world of make-believe as you watch the movie progress and watch ‘The Avengers’ spin into action flying over buildings and jumping amazing heights.

This movie was definitely many years in the making and much preparation went into creating it.  The film is owned, distributed and marketed by Disney but The Walt Disney Company has agreed to pay Paramount at least $115 million for worldwide distribution rights to the movie.  The film is directed by Joss Whedon who earned his fame as creator of  the show, ‘Buffy, The Vampire Slayer’.

This will most likely be one of the big hits of the year and it will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire movie.

With ‘The Avengers’ receiving unprecedented attention this week, Scarlett Johansson was honored today as she received her own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Her Avenger co-star, Jeremy Renner, accompanied her for the big day and watched her shine.  Scarlett was dressed to perfection in a black and white checkered dress with powerful red heels.

Anna Martinez, Hollywood Walk of Fame producer, was quoted as saying in the press release, “We are thrilled to honor an actress who has graced the screen and stage since she was eight years old.  Over the past 18 years, Scarlett has matured into a recognized cinematic presence with an impressive body of work.”

Ms. Johansson will make her mark this weekend as Natasha Romanoff better known as The Black Widow.

For a thrill beyond belief, head to the theater to see ‘The Avengers’.  It is important to note that the movie will be playing in 39 countries across the globe, possibly a first for a film of this kind.
