There was no sleeping late on this very important morning in January.  This was the morning that hundreds of thousands of people had been waiting anxiously for, the announcement of the 85th Annual Oscar Nominees.

At 5:38 a.m. PT on Thursday, January 10, 2013, the very humorous Seth MacFarlane, this year’s Oscar host, and the ever so lovely Emma Stone, took to the stage at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills to make the much anticipated announcement.  This is the first time since 1972 that an Oscar show host has participated in the nominations announcement.

In addition to hundreds of media representatives from around the world, over 68,733 viewers tuned in on their laptops to watch the fifteen minutes of fame and prepare us for the glorious award-winning ceremony set to take place on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

MacFarlane added a joke or two about the early hour as the list of names was read in each category.  Emma looked mighty fashionable in an ivory low-cut V-neckline dress by Andrew Gn accompanied by a black belt and black Louboutin pumps.
