Last night the stars came together on the red carpet once again at the posh Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California to take part in the 63rd annual Emmy Awards. It has been proclaimed as television’s biggest night. Everyone was out in full force looking absolutely bedazzling going strapless and sequined.

The jewels of the evening glistened as they entered the theatre. Paula Abdul wore a strapless deep blue tiered and ruffled gown complete with a sparkling silver belt and side swept hair. She definitely gets a vote of 10.

Gwyneth Paltrow experimented with intricate embellishment in a midriff-baring Emilio Pucci dress. It was very becoming and certainly an original creation.

‘Project Runway’ star, Heidi Klum, looked like a real winner in a strapless pale-colored Christian Siriano flounced and ruffled hemline dress with a bit of tulle and matching heels.

Jennifer Carpenter took sequins to the next level in a pale colored sultry gown revealing a sexy slit up the leg with peep-toe heels.

Kelly Osbourne was once again showing off her great hour-glass figure in a dark colored J. Mendel gown and her hair was swept up in a bun. She was mature and marvelous.

Claire Danes was astonishing in an iridescent blue strapless Oscar de la Renta gown shining with sequins and a sparkling smile to match.

Julie Stiles was simply alluring in a gray Georges Hobelka gown with sheer train. She has been transformed from an adorable girl to a lovely woman right before our eyes.

Julie Bowen was bewitching in a black and silver beaded V-neck low-cut gown by Oscar de la Renta who seemed to be the designer of the evening. Her blond hair was a striking contrast against the enticing gown.

Futuristic but fabulous was Padma Lakshmi in a one-shouldered sleek gold Giorgio Armani Prive gown with train.

Kerry Washington looked like a goddess in a glimmering red strapless Zuhair Murad gown. She wore it stately with ruby red lips.

It took a gentleman to make the fashion statement of the evening in a tuxedo top with Japanese kimono-like pajama pants and the outfit was finished with a bowtie. It was none other than Alan Cumming of ‘The Good Wife’.

Their were so many beguiling dresses and the bright lights of the cameras were flashing endlessly.
