Berlin Fashion Week attracts a diversified set of designers, industry trade officials, celebrities, media and fashion followers twice a year. The stage is set and innovative trends are revealed that will forever influence the international fashion world. Often compared to London and Paris Fashion Week, Berlin Fashion Week continues to raise the bar for some of the most creative and imaginative designers ever to take their world by storm. Breathtaking fashions are within easy grasp of the senses.

July 3, 2018 marked the start of the event and it continued through July 7, 2018, highlighting Spring/Summer 2019. One of the most talked about presentations of this season’s Fashion Week was, without doubt, Marc Cain.

Cain’s show, labeled “Le Riad Marc Cain”, took its audience on a magical journey to the land of Marrakech. This splendid mecca of finery is filled with rich and vibrant boho styles which seemed to come to life on the runway on July 3rd. The Moroccan flair focused on flavorful prints, strong boosts of color and the most spirited shades of pastels. As every model made their way down the runway, Cain’s inspiration of the city that has always attracted jet set celebrities, was quite evident while every bit creative.

The pieces were show-stopping and each was accessorized with matching turban, finished off with large hoop earrings. Brazilian supermodel, Isabeli Fontana, opened the show while walking in the show was beauty Talia Graf, niece of tennis legend Steffi Graf.

Each outfit was designed for women with their own unique lifestyle. Long, curve-hugging dresses were seen in stripes, stunning tropical and floral patterns, leopard prints and even a few metallic glittering looks. For those that enjoy throwing on an easy-fitting sheath, a variety was presented on the catwalk in a myriad of prints and colors. The hot trend of shirt-dressing made for the moment was worn in a few ways; alone, over a skirt or paired with pants. Short sets were made for breezy summer dressing. Blazers and suits made for sophisticated office attire.

The most emotional moment came right at the end of the Show when Helmut Schlotterer, Chairman of the Board, Founder and Owner, stepped onto the stage and thanked the Managing Director Design, Karin Veit, for her outstanding commitment, her amazing life-time achievement and a lifetime of working together, 43 amazing years. Karin Veit will be leaving Marc Cain on July 31st, 2018 to begin the next chapter of her life, focusing on herself and her family.

A high-profile front row was another highlight of the Marc Cain show: Veronica Ferres, Annemarie Carpendale, Joy Denalane, Bettina Zimmermann, Marie Bäumer, Liv Lisa Fries and many more were not going to miss the Marc Cain Show. Even top bloggers took their seats including Stefanie Giesinger, Caro Daur, Leonie Hanne and Xenia Adonts. Cain has a tremendous following as was seen on this day in this venue.

After seeing the collection under the bright lights of Berlin Fashion Week it is easy to determine why #MarcCainLovesFashionWeek.
