It is the time when art and culture are at their finest in Palm Beach County, Florida as the Palm Beach International Film Festival makes its way into the spotlight of the entertainment world.
Some of the most enchanting films in the world are viewed for the very first time by well-received audiences and film critics alike.
The Palm Beach International Film Festival is committed to supporting emerging filmmakers of today and tomorrow. The festival strives to recognize new and original voices all throughout the world and channel that excitement of film into local schools and inspire students that have been given a magical talent of expression. This event has notably received the classification of one of the top 25 Independent Festivals in the world.
You could say that Palm Beach is where it all begins. Filmmakers have participated from over 55 countries. Through funds generated from this stimulating festival of the arts, more than $1 million has been donated to local school programs to date. During the Palm Beach International Film Festival, students who have taken advantage of the year-round activities, seminars, workshops and “hands-on” experiences, have their chance to exhibit the passion to pursue filmmaking as there is a Student Showcase of Films focusing on young students and awarding scholarships to those most deserving of the honor.
It is also a competitive forum and at the end of the week, awards are handed out for Best Picture, Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, Best Short Film and Audience favorite at the closing celebration.
