As we inch ever so closer to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, it is easy to recognize stand-out style in swimwear from a shining star in the design world. Mara Hoffman impresses with each piece that she delivers and she is surely a favorite of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as she presents ready-to-wear, resort wear and swimwear.
Mara has truly made the swimsuit into a work of art with brilliant colors and bold graphic patterns that catapult off of the sun’s rays. For Hoffman, it isn’t just about swimwear. From the time that the designer launched her very first ready-to-wear collection back in 2000, she has revolutionized the fashion industry with her unique creativity. She has branched out into bridal, children and unusual yet captivating accessories. Pleasing ponchos made to wear over the bikini and tankini are absolutely magnificent. Slouch pants never looked so good. The inspiration that continues to fuel her passion for design is nature and fantasy and as she travels to new and exciting destinations, they play a major role in her creation of new collections.
Recently, on June 21, 2014, Mara Hoffman’s swimwear was featured in an exclusive trunk show at Everything But Water in the Hamptons. It was a refreshing dive into summer with the designer present making it ever more personal for those in attendance.
We are always so impressed with Hoffman’s incorporation of beading and embroidery into the collections. Free flowing coverups and day dresses brazenly adorned with vivid prints are just one enticing advantage of wearing this signature style. Come next month, the designer will be one of the highlights of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim as the event takes place in Miami Beach at the iconic Raleigh Hotel from July 17 – July 21, 2014.
