Wild Graphics Greet Valentino Resort 2015

With a splash of courageous color, the sophisticated House of Valentino begins to stray away from the more reserved style that the brand is widely recognized for season after season and awakens our senses.
Valentino Resort Collection 2015 continues to please with a passion by reaching for new horizons. The design team behind the brand is Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. Taking a risk with a resort collection inspired by the famous Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo, the collection took on a personality of its own through self-expressive motifs of monkeys, parrots and fantastic flora. There was an abundance of rich embroidery. Silver sequined trees on a background of black are true to the Mexican influence.
Simple was paired with ornate and sheaths of white flow freely draped proportionately on the body. Bullfighter vests and leather fringed jackets over shorts bring fluidity to the body which serves as Valentino’s canvas. The white peasant dress has a richness that is naive and new. The red ruffled bib is a lavish addition to the simple black dress serving to dress it up. A hint of the 70’s was present in some of the hypnotizing looks. Tunic tops, wide leg pants and Lucite clutches are modernized. The upswept braid, chunky platforms and multi-colored totes are the constant reminders of a wonderful age gone by too quickly.
Graphic prints just seemed to pop out at the onlooker. It was almost like a 3-D effect on fabric as you gazed intently at blocks, stripes and zig zags shown on fur vests and pleated skirts. Layers of color freshen the look, each layer representing a new sense of beauty in the wardrobe.
The Valentino Resort Collection 2015 highlights the elegance of dressing as evening wear graced in the runway in a magical way, symbolic of the Valentino style. Romantic gowns adorned in lace, intricate beading and ruffled chiffon assist in pulling off an exquisite appearance of lavish luxury.
Although the menswear influence is easy to spot, adding appliqués of expression and more feminine blouses make for an outfit that can be worn any time of the day or night. Fringe falls below the knee so easily and so effortlessly.
Valentino Resort Collection 2015 opens the door of luxury to a ravishing room of colors, graphic prints and romance in true Valentino fashion.
