Beyoncé and Jay Z Pull Off a Modern Bonnie and Clyde Fashion Moment
Ever since the release of “Bonnie & Clyde†in 2002, Beyoncé and Jay Z’s love story has caught the public imagination. As much as fashion fans furiously scan through Bey’s social media for daily updates on her #OOTD, it’s even more exciting—and more rare—to see her stepping out in style with her beau. With both having performed earlier this week at Jay Z’s Tidal X concert, the pair were recently seen on a date at a performance of Hamilton on Broadway.
Beyoncé’s velvet suit recalls the Tom Ford for Gucci version worn by Gwyneth Paltrow at the VMAs in 1996, although unlike Paltrow, the superstar opted to go sans shirt, keeping her jacket buttoned in a way that read more ’70s than ’90s. Complementing his wife’s monochromatic ensemble is hubby Jay Z in an all-black outfit that’s punctuated by a camouflage jacket and retro optic-white kicks. Let’s just say that we’re crazy in love with the look.
