Fashion Week takes place in New York, London, Milan, Berlin, Tokyo, Australia, Toronto, Mumbai and Russia. Emerging designer programs take place in Canada, India, the UK and Eastern Europe.
It is with great excitement and promise that IMG FASHION has announced the addition of a new Fashion Week. Istanbul, Turkey has now been added to the IMG FASHION Portfolio with a vision of the evolution of design and fashion put to the runway in an innovative and electrifying way. IMG represents some of the world’s top models, leading designers, influential photographers, art directors and stylists.
IMG FASHION will collaborate with ITKIB to further Istanbul Fashion Week’s stronghold as a vital regional fashion industry event for Turkey. Also involved will be United Brand Association, Fashion Designer’s Association, the Istanbul Ready Made Garment Exporters Association and Istanbul Moda Academy along with the IMG and Dogus Group joint venture.
The advantage of adding this prestigious event is to put Turkey in the fashion forefront as a leader in the industry as well as this being a draw for new and unique designer talent.
With Istanbul’s robust commerce outlook, designers and manufacturers and style enthusiasts can make this event fully blossom and prosper into the coming years. The outlook is nothing short of highly positive.
A series of workshops for local Turkish designers and manufacturers on topics such as preparing a collection for the runway, show production, marketing public relations, branding and numerous industry focused topics are being scheduled for October. At that time, additional announcements concerning the future of Istanbul Fashion Week will be made by IMG.
We are all looking forward to this new thrilling event with great anticipation.
