One of the most talked about designers in the world of fashion is Ralph Rucci.  Not only are his collections elegant and sophisticated, but his list of accomplishments are some of the most impressive in this industry.

Rucci has been awarded the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in 2008, The Couture Council of The Museum at FIT 2006, the Pratt Institute Icon Award in 2009 and The Philadelphia International Festival of The Arts Visionary Award for Fashion in 2011.  Most recently, he was the subject of a documentary.  His talents extend to painting as well and he has exhibited in art galleries across the nation.

Last week, Ralph Rucci revealed his Chado Ralph Rucci Resort 2013 Collection in New York City.  Fashion critics were definitely spellbound by this newest collection.  It was beauty beyond belief.  Clothing had a bit of shine and superiority.

Even the most simple of dresses like the vivid purple long-sleeved knee-length dress with a gathered front and flattering v-neckline proved to be exquisite.

The tunics and A-line dresses were popular with sashes or belts.

The silhouettes were a testament to the designer’s attention to detail and fabrics were perfect for that luxury appeal that is characteristic of the woman ready for her travels.  Matte-jersey dresses are easy to wear again and again and a white men’s suit with double pockets would be superb for an evening event.

For a relaxing night on the town, slip into a turquoise and sea green floor-length flowing tunic over sea green palazzo pants.

Whether your preference is short or long, the traditional black dress was shown in a few different ways from form-fitting floor length to sequined, sexy short and sassy.  Then, of course, there was a daytime take on the little black dress which worked well with its high neckline and mesh trim.

The color-blocking gown in black and white gave us Rucci’s couture version of this hot trend.  There was also a black and cream full-length cocktail skirt under a black matte jersey t-shirt with sheer inserts down the back.

There were a couple of jackets as well.  One was more of the trench coat style in powerful and poignant red and a black micro-sequin mesh jacket with hood.

The accessories were minimal to none and really were not necessary.  Each piece carried itself magnificently.

Season after season Ralph Rucci continues to present stunning collections and he proves that he is truly the ‘Master of Fashion’.
