When Apple  lost the dynamic Steve Jobs eight months ago in October of 2011, I was fearful that it might be difficult for the company to keep up the momentum and the innovative stream of ideas and products that Jobs seemed to have the knack and talent to bring about.

But most recently at a keynote speech at WWDC, the Apple Developers Conference in San Francisco, I was pleasantly reassured by Tim Cook, the current CEO of Apple, that the technological giant is here to stay and will continue to outrun their competitors.

New and amazing products were unveiled like the brand new state-of-the-art MacBook Pro, a whole new vision for the notebook.  It is very thin, lightweight and has the world’s highest-resolution retina display.  It is quick, reliable, full of power and loaded with prestige.  Everything about it screams futuristic.

In addition, there was the introduction to new apps for iOS, Siri’s upgraded commands and more.

But what seemed to be even more evident as the keynote got underway was the pride and enthusiasm that each of the speakers, Phil Schiller and Craig Federighi and Scott Forstall, had for their company – Apple.  You could feel it throughout the room.

Most Americans view their jobs as a purpose in life that takes them through the day to bring home their earnings to pay for their lifestyle which includes a mortgage, car payment and routine bills.  However, these Apple executives were sincerely excited to share the new products and the new visions that keep loyal followers coming back for more again and again.

What touched me even more than just the products was the result that the products have had on our society.  Apple Notebooks, Apple iPads have given countless adults and children the potential to truly realize their dreams.

Apple brings technology to the classroom and makes learning fun again.  They keep the attention of the students and put them on a guided path.  The iPad has been instrumental in this purpose.

Blind people living in darkness have now been given promise through advanced apps that guide them with a direction finder and give them the ability to walk independently and experience the world on their own.

Medical students whose studies are grueling can now learn through the animated display of the MAC.

Apple helps small businesses put themselves out there through some of the targeted applications and also lets web designers stretch their imaginations.

So many new apps assist challenged kids and give autistic children a chance to enrich their lives.  It has been found that once a child sits down and starts working on the iPad, they become totally engrossed.  This is such a positive step in the learning process. Parents are so relieved to know that there is help for their kids with learning disabilities.

We are on the cusp of discovering ways to eliminate paying for products and services with money and working towards using our mobile devices and tablets to exchange payment.   Wallets may be a thing of the past very soon.

There are incredible applications that teachers can utilize to make them even better at what they do.

It is a whole new world out there with Apple.  The creative corporate giant is here for the long haul and their powerful impact on our lives will continue into the next generation and generations that follow.
