Dress For Success Builds Bonds

It is very easy to take some of the smallest gifts we have with no appreciation for how we got those gifts. It is sometimes inherent to cast aside thoughts of those less fortunate. There is one non-profit organization that continues to brighten the lives of underprivileged women across the globe, Dress For Success. Consistently building a network of successful women who are no longer afraid to show confidence, assert their self-esteem, and move forward with every bit of professionalism, Dress For Success drives a positive attitude in all the women they touch day after day, month after month, year after year. Their success rate is staggering. A huge “Thank You” to Dress For Success for improving the lives of over 850,000 women since their inception.
Dress For Success of the Palm Beaches is one chapter that is focused on involving the community and building a strong sense of awareness to their crucial mission and top priority goal. The volunteers for this chapter have been taking part in some fun and fabulous events over the past summer months and gaining a strong reputation for their exceptional work.
In June, the YPN RAPB, better known as the Young Professionals Network of the Realtors of Palm Beach County, held their White Attire event. The chosen charity of choice just happened to be Dress For Success of the Palm Beaches and was held on June 26, 2015. This marked the 3rd annual event with over 300 guests in attendance, all dressed in white as part of the ongoing theme. It was an evening of elegance, music, dancing, food and drinks at an $11.5 million dollar estate mansion in the prestigious Old Palm Golf Club located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. All eyes became quickly focused on the fashion show that was held to benefit Dress For Success of the Palm Beaches. The event resulted in raising $4,000 to support the chosen charity.
A shopping extravaganza drawing an equally large crowd was the day of jewelry shopping at the newly opened Kendra Scott boutique in the prestigious area of Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida. Over $500 was raised to benefit Dress For Success of the Palm Beaches as unique luxury jewelry was a popular purchase on that charitable day.

YES! Palm Beaches was proud to host their second annual event of ‘Paint It Forward’ which took place at Uptown Art in the heart of West Palm Beach, Florida. Over 55 young executive women attended, looking forward to enjoying an afternoon doing something different, expressing their creativity and supporting women that they inspired as the charity of the event was Dress For Success of the Palm Beaches. Close to $1,000 was raised to support their favorite charity.

Followers of the non-profit local chapter of Dress For Success are looking forward to the upcoming October event, shopping at the only West Palm Beach mall of its kind in the county, the Palm Beach Outlets. Not only will it be a chance to revamp your closet for the upcoming winter, but also an opportunity to contribute to Dress For Success of the Palm Beaches ‘in style.’
The local organization has welcomed a couple of new board members, Michele Wilde and Maureen Rowland, eager to empower women and possessing the experience to achieve the goals set forth and made a top priority. The Palm Beach Chapter of Dress For Success is on the way to becoming a shining example for other local DFS chapters across the nation.
