Enjoying a week full of Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion By: Hope Wilkos, Writer/Blogger, Photo:George Whylie, Video:Maxine Nolan

As evidence that Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week truly is a worldwide fashion event, this season was a first for presentation of live-streaming fashion shows direct from the runway at www.youtube.com/liverunway

Fashion fans were able to watch such awesome shows as Badgley Mischka, Custo Barcelona and Betsey Johnson as the models hit the runway. The fully loaded channel kept you current on show schedules, backstage beauty looks, interviews, trends and even how-to-videos. If you weren’t able to watch a particular show at the moment that it took place, don’t fret. Recaps and archived fashion shows will be available on the mobile channel between live streams. Digital is the voice of the future and Mercedes-Benz is at the forefront of technology. YouTube is the #1 entertainment site on the internet with 40 million unique viewers per day just in the United States. This super concept is brought to you by YouTube, Maybelline New York and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
In keeping with the patriotic spirit of 9/11, an American Flag was draped from the ceiling and able to be viewed by all as they entered Lincoln Center.
There were other promotions and interactive events going on throughout the week in collaboration. Fashion Plate Prix Fixe brought you a list of restaurants in the area whether you were rushing between shows or looking for a relaxing way to spend your afternoon or evening. The vast array of cultural restaurant hot spots brought to out-of-town attendees certainly was helpful.
Your fashion enthusiasm may have been more geared to fast cars and this was just the place for that. Looking sleek and sexy under lights was the all new 2012 C63 AMG Mercedes-Benz Coupe. A newly designed concept delivers on sophistication with unique compact proportions, a low silhouette and athletic lines. It delivers on performance with maximum output of 451 horsepower.

Fiji Water and Arizona products were available throughout Lincoln Center all through the week.

UNICEF was spreading the word and showcasing their livesaving work. An exclusive FEED trick-or-treat bag was available for purchase, designed by Lauren Bush, to benefit UNICEF nutrition programs for children.

TRESsemme had a booth set up in the lobby of Lincoln Center to give styling touch-ups from their expert styling team and capture it with a photo snapped by a professional photographer. Sample their Fresh Start Dry Shampoo.
Fans were also able to get a cold and refreshing pick-me-up with Lifeway Kefir frozen dessert. Deliciously tart, decadently creamy and low on calories, this is the snack of choice. If that wasn’t your fashion fancy, put the fiber back in your diet with the Free Fiber One Bars.

Maybelline New York set up shop near the Studio and Box show entrances to let makeup aficionados see all the newest products and learn all the hot trends.

Writers and media personnel were able to check in and set up shop in the lounge area complete with charging station to keep your mobile and laptop devices fully charged and catch up on stories and email.
When you weren’t in the shows taking in all the new looks for Spring 2012, you were never at a loss to keep busy. As we wind down on another great season, we appreciate all the hard work and dedication brought to us by Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week, IMG Worldwide and all the other great sponsors of the event.
