We’ve seen the best that Spring/Summer 2013 has to offer us with wildly feminine frills, fancy floral designs and vibrant colors reminding us that with spring showers and May flowers comes a whole new world of trend-setting fashion.

Now Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin has proudly announced the preliminary schedule for the much anticipated Autumn/Winter 2013 Collections.  Germany puts their heart and soul into making this a spectacular event to show and tell to the world.  Over a period of four days, more than 50 collections from national and international designers transform Berlin into a world of beauty and the opportunity for emerging designers to take the spotlight is all part of the excitement.

It all takes place from January 15 – 18, 2013 and in its footsteps comes Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York Fall 2013 Collections which take place at Lincoln Center from February 7 – 14, 2013.

Peter Levy, SVP & Managing Director of IMG Fashion Worldwide Events & Properties, issued a statement, “Since creating the event in 2007, it has always been our mission to shine a light on the creativity coming out of Berlin and provide an international platform for designers to showcase their collections.  We are pleased to present a line-up with so many exceptional talents and facilitate an opportunity that will further support the growth of their individual businesses.”

The Governing Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, is just as elated with the arrival.  “Berlin attracts creative people from all over the world and has become the place to be for fashion.  Our city offers a perfect setting for national and international designers and with events such as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, a platform is provided for showing their current collections to the professional audience.”

The preliminary line-up includes 1913BERLIN BY YUJIA, A DEGREE FAHRENHEIT PRESENTED BY MERCEDES-BENZ AND ELLE, ANJA GOCKEL, ANNE GORKE, AUGUSTIN TEBOUL, BALTIC FASHION CATWALK (AGNE KUZMICKAITE, KÄTLIN KALJUVEE, INGRIDA ZABERE), BARRE NOIRE, BASLER, BLACKY DRESS, BLAENK, C’EST TOUT, DIETRICH EMTER, DIMITRI, FRANZISKA MICHAEL, FRIDA WEYER, GREEN SHOWROOM, GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER, HOLY GHOST, HUGO BY HUGO BOSS, IRINA SCHROTTER, ISABELL DE HILLERIN, ISSEVER BAHRI, KILIAN KERNER, LALA BERLIN, LAURÈL, LEANDRO CANO “DESIGNER FOR TOMORROW” 2012, LENA HOSCHEK, MALAIKARAISS, MARC CAIN, MARC STONE, MARCEL OSTERTAG, MICHAEL SONTAG, MINX BY EVA LUTZ, MIRANDA KONSTANTINIDOU, PERRET SCHAAD, REBEKKA RUÉTZ, RENA LANGE, ROMANIAN DESIGNERS (ADELINA IVAN, ANDRA CLITAN, STEPHAN PELGER), SCHACKY AND JONES, SCHUMACHER, SEBASTIAN ELLRICH, SISSI GOETZE, SOPOPULAR, UBI SUNT, VLADIMIR KARALEEV and ZOE ONA.

The two venues to house the superlative shows are the Catwalk and The Studio.  In addition, there will be trade fairs and industry exhibitions highlighting the fashions of the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013 Season.

None of this could be completely possible if not for the generosity and dedication of corporate sponsors, Mercedes-Benz, DHL, Maybelline Jade and Peek & Cloppenburg KG Dusseldorf.  It will be once again endorsed by the Senate for Economics Technology and Research, Berlin.
