July is almost here and we know what that means.  It is time to pack your bags and jet off to the tropical paradise of Jamaica to enjoy some of the biggest names in Reggae music.

Each year as the summer sets in, Montego Bay gets ready for the largest concert festival in Jamaica, Reggae Sumfest, attracting millions of music fans both young and old.  For 19 years now, this musical celebration has been delighting fans with exciting entertainment.  Red Stripe is the official sponsor and the event is set to take place from July 15 – 21, 2012.

The festival classifies its music into genres like Dancehall Night and International Night.  This year the opening night transforms the huge and inviting stage to Dancehall Night and crowds will thrill to top artists as Beenie Man, I-Octane, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, Cham, Konshens, Popcaan and Assassin just to name a few.

As the musical madness heats up and the festival swings into action, there will be a tribute to honor Jamaica 50 featuring John Holt, Yellow Man, U-Roy, Leroy Sibbles, Frankie Paul and Sophia Brown amongst others.

The festival gets into high gear as other great names such as Trey Songz and everyone’s favorite and top singer-songwriter and record producer, R. Kelly, hits the stage.

Also appearing will be none other than Damian’ Jr. Gong’ Marley, Third World, Christopher Martin, A.J. Brown, Raine Seville, Conkarah and Q-ban.

This amazing talent that will come together and share the stage to bring the audience to their feet will set the evenings on fire with high volume energy.

In addition to all these talented artists, the professional organizers and platinum, gold and diamond sponsors of the event dedicate their time and efforts to make sure that everything goes as planned and everyone has the time of their life with tons of memories to take away from this musical revelry.

Hotels in the area are ready to accommodate and they lure visitors in with friendly and luxurious accommodations throughout the week.  Gaze out at the sandy shores of a glistening ocean as palm trees sway in the breeze and throw your cares into the sea as you combine relaxation with celebration.

Join in this magical celebration and see why they call ‘Reggae Sumfest’ the Greatest Reggae Show on Earth.
