Glamour abounds! These days you’ll find it in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco and just last night in Chicago in the West loop. Macy’s Glamorama takes the nation by storm in select cities combining fashion, entertainment and philanthropy into one dazzling evening.

This annual fashion event presents designs from top designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Tracy Reese and Armani while drawing in celebrities and performers. It originally began with Marshall Field’s but then became a signature event of Macy’s.

Over a span of 28 years, close to $41 million has been raised in the cities of Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. This is an opportunity for Macy’s to give back to the community. Top funding sponsor continues to be American Express.

The shows are high-energy full of current top fashion looks brought forth with powerful acts such as Cee Lo Green and Bruno Mars this year and Prince, Beyonce, Tina Turner, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez and Pussycat Dolls in previous years. Following the show is a glam after party culminating the event.

This year 100% of the proceeds from the ticket sales in Minneapolis on August 5th benefitted Children’s Cancer Research. In Chicago on August 12th, the charity of choice was Ronald McDonald House Charities whose mission is to provide a “home away from home” for families of hospitalized children. Los Angeles ticket sales will benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles and Project Angel Food to help support their efforts to provide services and more to those affected by HIV and AIDS. The event will take place on September 23rd. Finally on September 30th, San Francisco sales will go to support the AIDS Emergency Fund, Project Open Hand and the Glide Foundation who dedicate themselves to helping residents infected with and affected by HIV and AIDS.

Macy’s will give fashion followers a memorable evening and prove they have a strong commitment to fashion and philanthropy.
