J. CREW TO SHOW AT LINCOLN CENTER

J. CREW TO SHOW AT LINCOLN CENTER By Hope Wilkos, Writer/Blogger

One of the newest designers to make their entrance at Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week in New York will be J.Crew. They are by no means newcomers to the fashion industry. Based in New York, fashion week attendees will warmly welcome the native brand to Lincoln Center. The company sells an assortment of women’s, men’s and children’s apparel and accessories offering swimwear, outerwear, loungewear, bags, belts, jewelry and shoes. The brand marked its beginnings in 1983 with the making of its 1st catalogue. It sells online and at stores around the country.

The brand is a partner in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. This fund helps emerging American designers pursue their design and business plans. Generous grants are awarded along with the opportunity to work with established industry professionals.

J. Crew offers great tailored shirts in solids, plaids and florals for career dressing and any casual rendezvous. Choose from an array of denim jeans, dress pants and pencil skirts. The brand gives you the perfect fall wardrobe with cashmere henley sweaters, cable sweaters, cocoon cardigans, shawl-collar ponchos and not to mention herringbone blazers and flattering vests. Go from the Ramona cotton taffeta dress to the silk chiffon one-shouldered dress to the more formal silk organza dress.

The men’s shop has great fashions such as the officer-stripe sweatshirt, heavyweight tees, sueded fleece pullovers, debonair Italian wool suits as well as traditional polos.

Kids will have loads of fun picking out back-to-school fashions like knits, sequin tees, pants and leggings, the Lindy hop dress and a cool Safari dress for the girls. Boys will look cool in chinos, straight leg jeans, gingham shirts and quilted vests.

Whether you are going to the beach, to the office, away for the weekend or relaxing at home, J.Crew is sure to satisfy all your clothing needs.

J.Crew is known for showing its fashions in enticing productions so the Lincoln Center show goers this coming September will be eager with anticipation to see what J.Crew has in store with Spring 2012 trends.
