Airing that night will be the new “We Are Music” campaign launched by The Recording Academy and TBWA/Chiat/Day Los Angeles. This campaign uses technology in the form of print, outdoor, digital, T.V., a mobile app and an interactive microsite (www.wearmusic.grammy.com) to visualize music and the way it moves us.
With an amazing line-up of performers, the evening is surely not to be missed. The roster includes GRAMMY nominee, Katy Perry along with Adele, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Glen Campbell with The Band Perry and Blake Shelton, Coldplay and Rihanna, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Chris Brown, Tony Bennett performing with Carrie Underwood, Diana Krall and Joe Walsh.
An all-star list of presenters will make their way to the stage. They include Miranda Lambert, Gwyneth Paltrow, Drake, Dierks Bentley, Jack Black, Fergie, Ringo Starr, Ryan Seacrest, Marc Anthony, Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire and Diana Ross.
Leading personalized radio service, Pandora, PepsiCo Inc. and The Recording Academy, have also announced an original content video series showcasing the 54th Grammy Best New Artist nominees. The series can be found at: www.pandora.com/pepsigrammyvideo.
Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt will pay tribute and remember the late and great Etta James.
For the first time ever, there will be a special segment spotlighting Dance/Electronica Music with a group performance by Chris Brown, Deadmau5, Foo Fighters, David Guetta and Lil Wayne.
Another first will be the reunion performance of The Beach Boys along with GRAMMY nominees, Foster the People and Maroon 5.
Sunday, February 12th, 2012 will be a momentous and extraordinary evening for viewers, presenters and nominees as the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards take place.
