It is the dream of every little girl to become a fairytale bride and ride off into the sunset with her charming prince. Each of us imagine our wedding day as the time in our lives when wishes and dreams come true and a bride’s life is now made uniquely for two, from here to prosperity.

On October 7, 2016, at Venue57, one of New York City’s most exclusive event venues, Isabelle Armstrong presented the brand’s Fall/Winter 2017 Bridal Collection to a discerning crowd. As the models took to the runway, gracefully showing off their gorgeous gowns, the inspiration for this collection was quite evident. This collection celebrated a revitalized renaissance and forward evolution of the brand itself. Each dress, down to just about every intimate detail, embodied the nucleus of the brand, the beauty and juxtaposition of the bold and the soft. This fresh, renewed spirit is an exciting progression of Isabelle Armstrong’s vision; a breath of fresh air, informed by a modern sensibility and a timeless, sophisticated sentiment that exists at the very essence of the collection.

Each of the 26 gowns shown was in a class of its own, lifting the bride onto an imaginary pedestal of loveliness. The show was a breathtaking presentation to behold. The Season standouts included an embroidered Alencon lace, A-Line gown with pleated tulle overlay, golden Chantilly lace fit and flare sheath, and a lace mermaid gown with collared gown with cap sleeves. The gowns could be identified by their own unique name. The Florence gown is gleaming gold with a large front slit. The Georgia gown was a tantalizing take on eccentric, seductive, princess-like, all qualities wrapped into one. The Mathilda gown goes non-traditional in the color blue and topped off with a ruffled cape tied at the neck.

Isabelle Armstrong believes the back of every gown makes just as strong an impression as the front and that is why there so much detail that goes into both sides of the pieces. The Glenn gown highlights a sexy, sculpted back with sheer mesh and bold lace applique. Some gowns have been created with the perfect curvy fit and a bit of a flair from the hips downward, others were very simple and picturesque.

The brand has now traveled into a new realm, perhaps taking this futuristic direction because of the new leadership of CEO & Creative Director, Remy Quinones, a woman with a distinct sense of what each customer desires.

Many others helped to make this a very successful show as well. Jorge Luis for L’ANZA Healing Haircare styled all the models’ tresses, weighing in on the decorated ponytail. Transforming looks in make-up was Make-Up Pro. Jewelry was furnished by Jewelers of America: Ele Frei, Gumuchian, Imperial, Leo Ingwar, Mastaloni & Meghna Jewels. Not to be forgotten, the final foothold on beauty belonged to Freya Rose for all the shoes.
