LAS VEGAS FASHION WEEK HITS THE JACKPOT

Â On May 14th, fashion overtakes Sin City and covers it with a layer of style. Â Official Las Vegas Fashion Week is coming to town from May 14th – May 21st for 8 days of highly anticipated showings from local, national and international designers as well as emerging talent. Â Â This is an event for the designers to showcase their collections for worldwide buyers, VIP and high-end retailers and major media.
One of the most important missions of Las Vegas Fashion Week is to create a platform for fashion and still focus on community involvement through partnership with local businesses, school and non-profit organizations.
The week will kick off with Fashion Charity for Children which is sponsored by Jada Toys. This will benefit Sunrise Children’s Hospital and Shade Tree. Â Most notably, this will uplift the spirits of these kids as they are given toys and special wishes.
On May 16th, talented students will be given the opportunity to show off their creations in hopes of becoming the next Diane von Furstenberg or the next Michael Kors. Â Media interviews will be held during the day. Â On May 17th, local designers will be featured. Â On May 18th, a fashion charity dinner for women in need will raise awareness and funds to make a difference in the lives of many. On May 19th, the much awaited Designer Gala will be held. Â May 20th and 21st will be invite-only days with exclusive designer private showings.
All the events will take place in and around the World Market Center. Â It will bring the world a view of the immeasurable style that the city has to offer. Â It will encourage aspiring young designers to take the next step into the world of creative mastery.
Present will be some 40+ designers that have been hand-picked from around the globe. Â The collections will be Fall, Summer and Couture lines making their way down the high-profile runway.
This is another great Fashion Week to hit the nation in 2012.
