MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK RUSSIA RISES

There can be no better way to focus on fashion and spread the fever around the globe. This is, by far, the largest fashion week in Eastern Europe paired with the leading international publication that centers on Russian art and culture. Add the two together and you get winning results.
It all takes place from March 29, 2013 through April 2, 2013 at the Central Exhibition Hall at 1 Manezhnaya Square in Moscow. It is the celebration of the 26th year of this sparkling and most talked about event.

We look forward to the over 60 designers showcasing their Autumn-Winter 2013-2014 collections. Zarina will present “Russian Winter”. A brand new collection of accessories will be presented by Olya Shikhova. Irina and Marina Kiryanova will mystify you with their inspirational and energetic collection called ‘Moonlight Shadow’. New and emerging designers are getting ready to leave you in awe with praiseworthy pieces. This world-class fashion event draws an elite crowd and fashion professionals such as Custo Barcelona and Valerie Steele, director and chief curator of the Fashion Museum at FIT, legendary stylist Phillip Bloch, buyers from top retailers in New York City as well as over 2,000 journalists.
Depesha was founded in 2005 by Stephan R. Rabimov in New York City and is published two times per year in bilingual English-Russian limited edition «bookzine» format. The online version is updated daily and is a favorite for cultural savvy individuals.
This past February, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York, Depesha, in partnership with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York City, presented a host of design talent from Russia for all to view and enjoy. It was one of the highlights of the week.
While the concentration of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will be runway shows, there is much more that awaits visitors. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is planning on hosting a display of fashion-movies with NYFFF (New York Fashion Film Festival). Such inspirational artists as Roman Polanski, Ryan McGinley and Steven Meisel bring art together with film. Twenty remarkable short films will be shown in the course of five days. A portion of the movies were shot especially for Prada, Kenzo, Alexander Wang and Nina Ricci.
