Norwegian Cruise Line launches its newest state-of-the-art ship in February of 2014 called ‘Norwegian Getaway‘. This 4,000-passenger ship will have an open-air boardwalk, a wide range of indoor and outdoor venues on three dynamic decks and a rich mix of stateroom options. There will be 42 luxurious suites at the top of the ship overlooking the wide blue sea in an exclusive, private key-card enclave along with 22 additional suites throughout, solo innovative studios, ocean view staterooms, balcony and mini-suites, spa balcony, mini-suites and suites close to the relaxing spa. Celebrity chef and Food Network star, Geoffrey Zakarian, will be overseeing the opening of his succulent seafood restaurant, Ocean Blue by Geoffrey Zakarian.
Now Norwegian Cruise Line will partner with The Recording Academy® to feature the first GRAMMY® EXPERIENCE AT SEA. In the fall of 2014, a GRAMMY-themed cruise will set sail from its homeport of Miami, Florida.
This will be a celebration of all that the GRAMMY® stands for. On Deck 8 of the magical ship will be artifacts chosen and curated by the GRAMMY Museum® at L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. In the evenings, the venue will feature live performances by some of your favorite GRAMMY-winning and -nominated artists.
“Partnering with The Recording Academy and its prestigious GRAMMY Awards to bring the first GRAMMY-branded experience at sea onboard Norwegian Getaway is a huge coup for us as we continue to innovate with entertainment,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Chief Executive Officer. “This GRAMMY venue with nightly performances by top-notch musicians elevates the offerings on Norwegian Getaway to a whole new level.”
Through this partnership, the GRAMMY brand expands throughout the globe to reach a far wider audience all year round.
Norwegian Getaway will sail seven-day cruises from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean beginning Feb. 1, 2014, with ports of call including Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas.
