Obama and World Leaders Visit NYC for United Nations Summit,

This week, world leaders (including President Obama) will be in New York City for the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the main decision-making body of the United Nations that includes 192 member states. Meetings will take place at United Nations headquarters on 1st Avenue between 46th and 48th Streets.
The week will begin with a special high-level plenary meeting of the United Nations General Assembly from September 20-22, 2010, a special UN Summit to discuss progress toward achieving the UN’s Millennium Development Goals by the 2015 deadline. The UN Millenium Development Goals are to:
- End Poverty and Hunger
- Universal Education
- Gender Equality
- Child Health
- Maternal Health
- Combat HIV/AIDS
- Environmental Sustainability
- Global Partnership
