Thank You Mercedes Benz Fashion Week!!!!

As the sun was setting, the plane touched down on the West Palm Beach runway. I glanced out the window and reminisced about this past week and the most exciting city that I had left behind, New York City.
What an unforgettable week filled with a variety of culture, fashion and style. Celebrities coming and going as if a normal way of life. Tall, beautiful, long haired women in leather and suede 5 inch heels and tight black leggings or hip hugging skirts saunter along much like the fashion icons of the past. Lincoln Center was the place to be for anyone and everyone.
Designers presented their Spring/Summer 2011 lines throughout the week from Betsy Johnson to Rag and Bone to Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein and Anna Sui. A rather new tradition, ‘Fashion Night Out’ which got its start in 2009 with the help of Anna Wintour was a smash hit on Friday, September 10th. Many cities across the nation joined in the celebration with their own festivities to participate in a great event to promote fashion. Parties large and small went on throughout New York City from Soho to the Meat Packing District to Rockefeller Center as a means to get the public involved in the Fashion Industry for one action-packed evening.
Each day I watched people come and go from Lincoln Center feeling as if I fell right out of a page from ‘In Style’ Magazine. The week flew by.
Now the tall white marble Mercedes Benz wall comes down for a few months and Lincoln Center gets back to its normal hustle and bustle of entertainment. I will be back there again at the end of February when the story picks up once again for the Fall/Winter 2011 collections to be shown and the shows to be bigger and better than ever.
This truly has been one of my most memorable weeks ever. Thank you Mercedes Benz Fashion Week!!!!
