If you love classic movies and you’re looking for a divergent way to spend a Monday evening, look no further. On Monday, August 8th at 7:00 P.M., brought to you by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Academy Theater at Lighthouse International in New York City will showcase a new digital restoration of ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’ marking the film’s 50th anniversary.
Who could forget the glamorous and fashionable Holly Golightly of the 1960’s who was the feminine character that ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’ was built around. She became an icon for women of all ages. The film adaptation of the Truman Capote best-selling novel was directed by Blake Edwards.

Audrey Hepburn’s performance was unforgettable and rightfully earned her a ‘Best Actress’ nomination. Composer Henry Mancini and lyricist Johnny Mercer won the Academy Award for best song with their romantic ‘Moon River’. The score also received an Oscar. The awards were plentiful for this memorable film. It won additional nominations for writing and screenplay.
