REGGAE 4 JAPAN By Hope Wilkos, Writer/Blogger
It’s time to show your overwhelming support for a very worthwhile cause. On June 5th at York College in Queens, New York, some of the top Reggae artists in the world will come together to perform in an effort to support Japan.
On March 11th, Japan was a victim to a massive earthquake which resulted in a tsunami, nuclear power-plant explosions and then partial meltdown, aftershocks and subsequent earthquakes in April. The proceeds from this humanitarian event will be donated to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Relief.

One of the top headliners is three time Grammy Award-Winning Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley. You can count on such great names to perform as Maxi Priest, Freddie McGregor and the Big Ship Family, Mr. Vegas, Tanya Stephens, Peter Morgan and more are being confirmed every day.
Organizers are Japanese Sound Mighty Crown, Management Team Irish and Chin, VP Records, Media partner IrieJam Radio. Corporate sponsors include Nine Rulaz Line, Woofin’ Magazine, Yokohama Trading, 24 x 7 Records, Rockers Island and Nesta Clothing.
This show will be the talk of the summer and certainly not one to be missed if you are in the area. Seating is limited so get tickets before they sell out. http://www.IrishandChin.com/reggae4japan.
Japan is still in need of emergency relief, medical services, essential appliances and even cash grants to help survivors. Support a terrific cause and have a great time as you make a difference.
