Snow Again?

Snow Again? By Hope Wilkos. As if it hasn’t snowed enough in our wintry city, more ice and snow are on the way.

Make sure to clear your rooftops, awnings and overhangs to avoid potential collapses when an ice storm makes its way from the Midwest across our region today. By 6:00 AM, we should see anywhere between 2-5 inches of snow mixed with sleet and freezing rain.

A total of 36 inches of snow has fallen in Central Park in January beating the record set in January of 1925 which totaled 27.4 inches. Now there is a chance that this January has topped that record to become the snowiest month in New York City history.

February 2010 holds the current record with a total of 36.9 inches.
