Another Fashion Week is just around the corner. Style Fashion Week launches its 2nd energetic season on Sunday, October 16th, during market week in downtown Los Angeles. It begins with a welcome party for VIP and media.
Attendees will be treated to a week of elegant collections by the very best of designers accompanied by exclusive after-parties.
From October 17th – 22nd, celebrity guests and fashion industry leaders will make their mark on Los Angeles. Interior design and fashion design come together. Los Angeles based designers are given an opportunity to showcase their designs for the world to enjoy. Chanel, Badgley Mischka, Cavalli, Oscar de La Renta and Loreal are just a few of the renowned past participants.
The week is made possible by generous sponsors such as Loreal Professionals, Voce’ Haircare, Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown, Center Theatre Group and BUBBLEFISHMEDIA. Key partners in the beauty, automotive, hospitality, electronics, financial and entertainment industry also play a major role.
The unique and classical setting for the event will be VIBIANA, a grand former cathedral in the heart of downtown Los Angeles with 130 years of history and the most timeless atmosphere for such a powerful week of fashion.
There will be many local avant-garde designers presenting fresh new Spring Collections. Stop Staring! is a brand that has touched the Hollywood scene with their rock, retro and vintage designs. The brand was created over ten years ago and they can boast that their clothing is worn by such beauties as Kim Kardashian and Eva Mendes.
Gypsy 05 is distinctive with transitional outfits that seem to flow with flair. They are a favorite with Jessica Alba, Amanda Seyfried and Miley Cyrus. They appeal for their comfortable and fashionable clothing for both men and women. With an emphasis on being eco-friendly, the company produces a line of organic and natural fabrics uniquely dyed in their own dye house.
Alternative Apparel will reveal its Spring 2012 Collection as “Oasis of Color”. Look for bright colors and prints, maxis and ponchos. Also hitting the runway will be Fashion Biz Inc. and Gen Art with many awe inspiring fashions that will grace the runway. Gen Art will showcase an entire night of emerging fashion designers. They have introduced such greats as Zac Posen, Rebecca Taylor, Philip Lim, Vena Cava and Rodarte. It can be summed up as “Fresh Faces in Fashion”.
The week will hold its share of surprises with more designers to be announced as we near the date.
